Our invisible fence

So I mentioned that Rocky ran through the fence to meet a huge boxer dog (actually named Rocky himself). I know most of you don't care about this since you don't know my dogs but we think this is funny. Rocky is our smart little athletic dog. Reggie is just kind of a protective grumpy grandpa with no coordination. He will trip on anything. He's fallen down our steps, he's fallen up our steps. He's fallen off our bed. He's tripped head first into bushes. Funny dog. But he obeys. He has not tested the invisible line since day one.

Rocky is like a perpetual 2 year old, always testing the limits. His collar battery has died 3 times and Reggie's has never died. I asked the sales lady at PetSmart why one keeps dying and one doesn't. She said the more often a dog goes near the fence to hear the beep, the shorter the battery life. Therefore, Rocky, must be always testing the fence because as soon as that battery dies, he's outta here.
