Faithful in the small things....

I just ordered these shoes from our local Aldo store. They were on sale, and freaking HOTT. They didn't have my size so I had to have the correct size shipped to my house. Total cost was about $37. Which, by the way, now that we're on our *tight* new budget, will not happen again. What shows up at my house? TWO pair. Of the same shoe, same size. I quickly checked our bank statement, which shows that I was only charged for ONE. What a gift from God!

I quickly ran through my options in my head....
1. Keep both pair.
2. Return one, act like I lost the receipt, get an in-store credit and get another pair of shoes.
3. Return one, take my receipt, get my money back and basically have a free pair of shoes.
Then, I was quickly reminded that through our study of Moses in BSF, I had been praying for opportunities to be obedient. In any way. All the time. Even when it means I can have another pair of shoes. Which God probably knew would be my most difficult test. Obey Him by adopting a child from another race? Easy peasy, bring it on! Obey Him by virtually quitting the job I LOVE to stay home with my child. NO trouble. Obey Him by returning free shoes... WHAT?!?!?
I will be heading to Aldo today....sigh.....

Sometimes (or A LOT of times) it's the little things that matter most...
