Stats

Hannah had her 4 month check up today, even though she is almost 4.5 months. So here are some stats to ponder.....
She weighs 11lbs 6oz, which puts her in the 10th percentile.
She is 23.5in long, 20th percentile.
Her head is 16.25in around. 60th percentile.
I asked the Dr. if he was concerned at all about her weight (just because she spits up so darn much!). He was not concerned at all. He did an age adjustment and assuming she was born at 35 weeks (it may have been 32 weeks), her weight is in the 50% and height in the 90%. So we have a long lean girl on our hands.
But all of this to say, her head.......he didn't adjust that for her being early. So that puts her noggin in about the 200th percentile.
People need to quit telling her she is so cute. She is *literally* getting a big head.
Her Dr also gave me official permission to start food, even though I've been giving her rice at breakfast for about 2 weeks. So after the appt, Matt and I headed over to GFS and bought huge bags of peas, broccoli, spinach and sweet potatoes. I made sweet potatoes and spinach tonight. They are currently in ice cube trays freezing and I'll put them in bags and date them tomorrow. I believe the savings here is going to be astounding. The 5lb bag of spinach took about 15 minutes to cook and puree, and will probably last her a month. And it cost $5. And I get to be in control of the quality of food I serve Hannah. I've heard they put bug parts in baby food for thickening agents.
Matt is so proud of me for trying to save money. What he doesn't realize is that I'm saving here in order to spend it somewhere else.....like on a new purse:)
One last thing. Hannah used her clementine colored cloth diaper today from this website. I might just be hooked on this. And what girl can't appreciate matching a diaper to their child's outfit??
