7 months

Hannah was seven months old yesterday. And like the bad mom I am, I failed to take a single picture. I'll do my best to take one today, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. My house is a disaster, I have to work, and by the time I get home, it's usually Hannah's bedtime. We'll try for a photo shoot tonight.
So, I know you are asking, what is Hannah up to now that she is so old? Well, she is not rolling from back to front. I think she can. She just refuses to. She is not sitting up. Well, let me rephrase that, she IS sitting up. She just hates it and screams and cries and throws her body backwards. She is still going back and forth with the food issue. Some days she loves it, some days she just wants her bottle. So I still have a ton of the food I ambitiously made back in June. I read that the food is good for 3 months when frozen, but we'll be using it until it's gone. A little freezer burn never hurt anyone.
She still has her two bottom teeth, but with the massive amounts of snot she is producing, I'm guessing more are on their way. She has her 6 month check up next week (I know, I know, she's already 7 months old!) so we'll see how much she weighs. I'd guess around 15 lbs, however, I just put her in a 3 month outfit and it fit perfectly. Hannah is also very long, I'd guess in one of the higher percentiles. Again, we'll see next week.
She's doing well sleeping, around 12 hours at night and several naps during the day. And still addicted to the pacifier. Her feet are so long and skinny that any shoes look like clown shoes on her so I think I'm going to just keep her in socks until she's walking (which at the rate she is going is either going to be soon because she's super impatient, or never because she refuses to even sit up).
Hannah met some old college friends yesterday. A couple of whom didn't even know we had adopted. I guess we aren't good at keeping in touch. But it was fun to actually have a child to show off and talk about.
We just bought Baby Signing Time for Hannah. Since she's never really seen tv, we turned it on and she stared at it, somewhat confused. Then she looked out of the corner of her eyes at me like, "is this allowed?" We all cracked up. She's not very interested in the video, but it's been fun starting to sign with her.
Hannah is such a blessing in our lives and we are so humbled to have been picked to be her parents. We pray every day that the Lord helps us to raise Hannah to love Him and to be a Proverbs 31 woman.
