I am very excited about it, I think it'll look really good. If I ever see any of you in person, I'll have to show it to you to encourage you to do the same.
So not only have we not done much, but I haven't taken any pictures either. Hannah and I were in Ohio for a few days while Matt was in Canada fishing and doing various other manly things. Before we went to Ohio, we went to the MercyMe concert here in Fort Wayne. Yes, the concert they put on right before they were in the accident that killed the 2 teenagers and the unborn child. It was an amazing worship concert, I can't imagine the pain of the accident afterwards, for everyone involved.
While we were in Ohio, Hannah, my mom and I went to the best outlet mall ever, where I bought a couple really cool things from Pottery Barn. This thing called a pouf retails for about $200, and I found it for $20! And I bought curtains for our bedroom for $15 a panel! I bought the one on the far right, the brown and cream patterned one.

My awesome new bedroom curtains. And I'll be honest, you can totally tell a difference in the quality of Pottery Barn vs. other brands.

Hannah, mom and I then drove to Cincinnati to babysit her little cousin Liberty while my brother and his wife went on a date. They left around 5:30 and Hannah didn't do a good job watching Liberty because Hannah went to bed at 7. Liberty is five weeks old, and again, I can't believe Hannah was even smaller then that!
When we got home, Hannah was exhausted from all the partying in Ohio, she basically napped the whole day yesterday, and when she wasn't napping, she was grumpy. So, on the advice from a new book I read (Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child by Dr. Weissbluth), I sent Hannah to bed at 6pm last night, and I had to wake her up at 7:30 this morning! And then, at 8:30am, I was able to catch the first signs of her being tired (like the book says) and I layed her back down in her crib and she's out like a light. There is a part of me that wonders if she is sick, I think I might have to get her checked out if she continues to sleep like this and be grumpy.
This book is great, and I would recommend it to anyone who's child has sleep/behavior issues. Thanks for the recommendation Christina and Megan! I only have one issue with the book, it still doesn't address my little girl's sleep problem. For example, Hannah should sleep about one hour in the morning. She will go down very easily, then wake up in 30 minutes. She won't cry, she'll just lay there. So I'll let her lay there for up to 45 minutes and she'll never go back to sleep! But she won't cry either! But she's still tired! And then very grumpy in the afternoon, where she'll take a very long nap. The book only addresses babies who cry when they are going down, and babies who wake up crying. I guess we'll figure this one out on our own.
I love this picture because I think Hannah has the most beautiful skin!
Can you see those two little teeth in there?

i am glad you got the book! i love those curtains. you did great on price! i don't seem to get so lucky at PB outlets...is it near columbus?
That's why I really didn't like the book. It didn't really help me. :( I am just going to let them cry like you did with Hannah, in order for them to sleep through the night.
I'm such a big fan of early bedtimes! My boys have always done better when I put them to bed earlier rather than trying to wear them out being up late. Wyatt is 18 months and I can still plop him in bed by 7:30 even after he takes a 3 hour nap in the afternoon. I really do think kids need more sleep then a lot of people seem to realize. Good luck and I hope some of the tips in the book help little Hannah!! And as far as her sleeping goes for naps, I'd just wait it out. Kids go through so many phases that first year... by time you figure it out, they move on. So just be patient and hang in there. As long as she's happy, let her be and get another load of laundry done or another chapter read! :)
