No baby

Let's start back at the beginning. The birth mom R has previously placed a baby through Lutheran Social Services. So that is who she contacted for this baby. However she got upset when she was not able to work with her social worker of choice G.
So she headed over to Catholic Charities, another adoption agency, and picked out a family. She then was able to work with social worker G, which made her happy so she chose us, without telling either agency about the other. Our agency knows a bit of history about R so they knew to be extremely cautious, which I am grateful for.
Anyway, she told G today that she was going to go ahead and place the baby, but with the other family. G was like, "umm, what other family?" So G then called Catholic Charities and they were like, "yeah, we've had a family picked for quite some time."
Then, the baby has ended up in the NICU with breathing problems and can't be placed until he is out. So G is going to make sure the other family is going to stick out the NICU wait. If so, he is their baby. If not, I guess we get the oppotunity to adopt him.
I know from personal experience, breathing problems is not going to make me turn a baby down. We are assuming the same of the other couple.
I guess things are slightly still up in the air but we are pretty much considering it done.
Thanks for all your prayers, we know we would not feel the peace we feel without them. Praise the Lord He is in control, we couldn't do it by ourselves.
Maybe there is another little bun in the oven waiting for us....who knows....
