We need a miracle

We had a conversation with our Social Worker (SW) at our agency a few months ago and we all agreed that we could be put back on the active list because we might be able to afford the first half of an adoption payment around May or after. We wanted to be open to birth moms who came in who were due in May or later, but we were not able to afford a "a baby is born come pick him up" like we did with Hannah.

So yesterday at 12:38 pm on my way to work I got a phone call from our agency. This conversation lasted exactly 1 minute 33 seconds.

SW: Hi Abby. You've been picked by a birth mom and she wants to meet you. Will Monday work?

Abby: Um, no. I work that day, how about Friday.

SW: Ok, I'll check to see if that works and I'll call you back.

Abby: Um, I have a couple questions?

SW: Oh yeah, go ahead.

Abby: When is she due, what race is the baby, do we know a gender?

SW: She is due next week, the baby is a boy and it's biracial.

Abby: We agreed that Matt and I didn't have the money at this time. And what if the baby is born before we meet her and/or get some money?

SW: I know. She might back out anyway. She was going to place a baby last year but changed her mind. This is baby #6 for her so who knows what she is going to decide. And she said she probably wouldn't deliver next week, she always goes late.

Abby: Ok. Whatever the Lord has.

So I called Matt.
We are shellshocked.
This is all be over in about 10 days and we'll either have a newborn or we won't.
And either the Lord is going to work a ginormous financial miracle for us or He won't.
We fully trust in His wisdom either way.
We covet your prayers.

And Hannah reacted to the news by eating dog treats.
