Olivia is so calm and low key, so much more like Matt. She still has trouble falling asleep, I spend many evenings rocking her, and she still would rather be held than anything else, but I love getting to know her and I love everything about her.
No matter who is holding her, no matter where she is or where I am, she can spot me across the room and she keeps her eyes on me. So sweet. What mama doesn't love having her baby stare at her and smile?
My precious girlies, I am forever grateful that the Lord ordained your lives to be in ours. We know you were born at just the right time for us. We pray every day that you come to know the Lord as your Savior and that He puts his guardian angels around you.
In a perfect world, every baby would have two biological, loving and married parents. But the Lord knows this world is far from perfect. Praise Him that He allows us to be adopted into His family. Praise Him that He has allowed us to follow that example and adopt little ones that might not have otherwise had stability, discipline and a Christ-centered home. Our little girls would have been loved, no question, but in parenting, love isn't all you need.
Matt and I are stumbling our way through this whole parenting thing, making mistakes every day. We are just grateful that we get to be parents and that we have forgiving girls and a forgiving Lord when we mess up.
