The best job in the world

I posted previously about dealing with some illnesses in the family. Hannah and Olivia are doing well, but I've got some bug I just can't shake. And Matt is dealing with fatigue too. It's hard sometimes to separate the tiredness of just being a parent vs the tiredness of illness. Either way, we are tired. I've still got a nasty cough and now a sinus infection. Even after a round of antibiotics. Also, we are tired. Have I mentioned that?
Soooo, on the advice of a friend, we bought a non habit forming (I think that's a necessary disclaimer) sleep aid. We don't have trouble falling asleep but I think we both wake up multiple times a night (I know for me, I was waking up somewhere around 20-30 times a night.) Just waking up, not for any reason.
Parenting is hard and physically demanding. It changes sleep patterns. I only work (outside the home) 18 hours a week. I get to work inside the home the rest of the hours. It's freezing cold here (literally, like -20 with the windchill or something), it's not sunny, we still have 12 or so inches of snow sitting on the ground, I can't run outside and we are tired.
However, Matt and I both agreed the other day that we are in the season of summer in our house. Our church went through a series explaining seasons of life, winter, spring, summer and fall. Summer was the season where life is good. Man, right now, life is good. It won't always be like that. We've had our fair share of winter here. But we need to remember God in all the seasons, thank Him all the seasons, spend time with Him all those seasons. So right now we praise the Lord for our season of summer (although it's a tired summer, have I mentioned that?).
In the midst of all this, I have this cute face to stare at. And those eyelashes to be envious of. Hannah was much too busy to get her picture taken.

I think I need to say a few things about Hannah. I told a couple people that I think she got the memo that she turned two because she has turned "the twos" on. Whew!
She chats at me now, then saying "Ok mom?" I'm never exactly sure what I agreed to but it cracks me up. She also now tells me "I don't know, mom" if I ask her something.
She sings a lot of songs, among them are: Trust and Obey, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Mary Had a Little Lamb, Holy Holy Holy, Good Morning God, My God is so Big, The Clean up Song, Wheels on the Bus,
She makes Matt and I laugh every single day. We like this girl a whole lot.

Olivia was back in BSF today after missing a few weeks with illness. The supervisor told me, "she is strong." That pretty much sums up Livi right now. She is an animal about getting what she wants. And she really is physically strong. You would never know she's itty bitty the way she wrestles Hannah to the ground. We like this girl a whole lot too.

I want to eat your baby, hope that's okay. She is completely delicious. Also, love all of Hannah's songs! I wish Cal would sing...we sing to him all the time, but he's just not there yet. Soon enough, I'm sure!
