- I was just getting ready to lose my mind when the temperatures rose to 70 today.
- I got to enjoy a warm run outside. I think I even got a tan or something. At least my cheeks are red, maybe it was the wind.
- Hannah runs funny. She run with high knees. Matt and I tried it and it was very tiring. No wonder she's so skinny. We are going to have to work on her form so she can start running with me.
- Olivia is sick. Did I mention last Friday I missed work because Hannah had pink eye? I think I did. I'm too lazy to check. Olivia has a 101 fever and a painful sounding cough. More antibiotics and I had to pin her down for a breathing treatment. Poor girl gave up the fight after about 30 seconds and went limp in my arms. It was quite precious actually.
- I was complaining to my mom that I can't miss more work and she said, "I'll drive there and babysit." Yay! I love not having to wake my kids up. I love they get to stay in the house. I love that Olivia gets to have snuggles from Ama when she's sick.
- Hannah is hilarious and so precious. Every word that comes out of this girl's mouth is so sweet. Tonight we were laying in bed "mommy, snuggle you" and we asked who she wanted to pray for. She said "Miss A."** That's her birth mom. I almost cried. So we prayed that Miss A would know the Lord. Then we asked who else should we pray for to know the Lord... Ama, Captain, Livi, Uncle Wade, Aunt Ali, Aunt Avana (That's Savanah), Uncle Jeb, Kalen, Aunt Suzy, Uncle Kakick (Patrick). She wants to party with all her relatives in heaven I guess, but we made sure to tell her that all those people already know God.
- Hannah will turn to me throughout the day and ask "sound?" I then have to figure out what sound she hears and tell her what it is. I usually tell her it's a motorcycle.
- Hannah can hear a plane or a train miles away. I can never hear it until I concentrate and sure enough, it's a plan or a train. If it's a plane I always ask her, "who flies planes?" and she says, "Captain!"
- It is so fun to watch her grow and mature. She can actually be helpful now, getting her own shoes on and off, taking her own clothes on and off, doing small chores for me like picking up toys or shoes and putting them away. If I am looking for something she is usually able to help me. It's so wonderful to watch her become more independent.
- Hannah has a little plastic toy kitchen (we got for free, it's kind of old and stained and has Dora's big face all over it but whatever). I think I need to periodically check her fridge because I randomly opened it today and found a sippy cup of curdled milk. She put her milk in the fridge though. I had wondered why the toy room smelled funny. I thought it was the washer.
- Hannah has finally quit calling Olivia "baby" now and calls her baby Livi which I think is sweet.
- Olivia is also hilarious and just so you know, it's official. The second time around is just as magical as the first. I thoroughly enjoy sitting and watching Olivia in the playroom as she reaches for things, climbs on things, grabs and throws things. I am amazed every day how grown up she is. How opinionated and vocal she is. How she dances. How sweet and silly a 10 month old can be. How much she can make me laugh.
- Hannah can use the phrases super cool and super duper appropriately. Neither of which are hard to say, but funny to me when I ask her how her nap was and she says super duper.
- I signed up for my second marathon. The same one as last year, which is not until September. It gives me plenty of time to change my mind or injure myself. I am starting a new training plan so hopefully this one goes a little better. Until then, Matt and I are going to sign up for a sprint tri. Neither of us really know how to swim so it should be interesting.
- Hannah did a bracket with us last night and it's not going so well. She took Duke all the way though so we will see how it goes.
- Everyone enjoy yourselves a little March Madness and hopefully a little warm weather. It's just what we needed after an endless cold, cloudy and gray winter.
{Edited to add} **Miss A is not what we call her in our home but we think that's what we should use here on the world wide web.
