Fall Fun Part II

On Satuday we went to an apple stand near our house and picked out some pumpkins. Just because we felt like everyone else does it and I wanted to roast the seeds. Really, it took like five minutes and all Hannah did was run around like a crazy kid and Liv stood calmly with her purse surveying the scene.

I love this picture, with the purse in hand, waiting to buy the pumpkins. She looks like a grown up.

I love this too, Hannah running. She loves to run. Can't wait to run with her someday!

Then we got out the butcher knife and carved the pumpkin in our garage.

Friday night we went to a fall festival at a local church. Apparently when the word gets out there is free food, things get nutso. Not my cup of tea.

Olivia, being a serious dog and her friend Max, also being a serious dog. Maybe they shouldn't marry each other.

Winner of the best sitter for face paint.

Hannah got face paint AND a Nemo tatoo on her hand! (She dressed as Jesse for this party).

This is a classic trying to act cool but super excited Hannah face.

Saturday night we dressed them up again and took them to a local fire station. I thought it would be cool, since Hannah loves firetrucks and I thought they would love seeing firemen (who doesn't, right?).
Again, apparently when the "free food" message gets around, the place, once again, gets nutso. We walked in the front door, I almost had a stroke so we promptly walked out the back.
Lest you think I was being selfish, it freaked the girls out too, enough that they wouldn't even stand on the firetruck for a picture. Matt had to hold them and they were both whining. I was probably whining by this point also.

Hannah didn't even want her picture with the truck, until the next day. Then she wanted to go back.

Then, we let them eat a piece of candy in their pretty dresses, which made up for the whole fire station fiasco.

That's enough fall crap for one weekend.
Bring on Thanksgiving and Christmas (and obviously the greatest holiday, Hannah's birthday (as least that's what she says))!

I just have to add, for my memory purposes, that Olivia now has a say in which cup I use for her milk! What?? If I pull out the wrong cup, she shakes her head and goes and gets the one she wants. I remember thinking it was funny when Hannah did it, but I can't remember how old she was.
Olivia also has a black eye. I need a picture because it's adorable. She fell and hit it on a stool. That's so Olivia. Hannah broke her wrist at this age (18 mo) because she was and still is such a climber and jumper (she climbed onto and jumped off our bed). Olivia has a black eye because she is the crazy bull in a china shop and runs into everything at full speed and usually falls over laughing. Not this time!
