Before the Thanksgiving weekend, I needed to find a lot of activities that would keep the girls occupied so that I could get things done, like I said previously, things like general cleaning, getting beds together, finding enough bedding, baking the bread, getting all the extra groceries put away, etc.
So at some point last week, Hannah and I made a batch of playdoh. She has been begging to help me in the kitchen so I included her in this and it was so worth the mess. I didn't think I would ever say that, but it's true. I can clean up the mess later, the sense of pride Hannah felt making the playdoh was priceless.
Also, this playdoh can be eaten. Not that I want them to but half the batch was gone after about 45 minutes of playing. Anyway, here are the pictures of this and I do believe that I got a lot done in those 45 minutes, and I didn't have to feed them lunch (just kidding, I did).
Then, because the smell of freshly baked bread has been permeating this house for a few weeks, we just can't help ourselves to a fresh loaf when it comes out. Their new favorite activity is a few warm slices of bread on the coffee table and some milk before bed and the freedom to run around the house at the same time. Again, it allows me to get some things done and all I have to do is sweep the entire downstairs when they are done:)
