It's my party and I'll cry if I want to

I remember laughing through much of Hannah's 2nd birthday because of the amount of tears and general stubbornness she displayed throughout the day of celebration, presents and cake.
Today was Olivia's 2nd birthday and she behaved exactly the same. I think she may have smiled twice today. I believe I caught one of them on camera.
Most of her day was also spend in tears, mostly for unknown reasons....molars, she has a cold, she won't talk, she's two. Who knows.

She spent most of the day wrestling to get out of our arms.

Or looking miserable when we held her. In her defense, poor girl is sick.

We bought her a tricycle which Hannah commandeered and offered to let Liv ride on the back of it. Liv actually liked it (and look at that cute birthday outfit!)

But only a mother's love can overcome that enough that I still smothered my sweet girl with kisses all day today.

Both Olivia and Hannah were showered with presents today, matching sister dolls with tons of clothes, dress up shoes, books, fairy wings and a wand. Girl heaven.

We started our birthday celebration last night when we ate dinner at a local chocolate company called DeBrand Fine Chocolates. Dinner consisted of amazing chocolate sundaes. Yes, I actually allowed that:)
We went to a Japanese steakhouse for dinner and then we came back to our house for cake and presents. Then we finished the birthday celebration with a viewing of the first half of Mary Poppins.

We love celebrating our (grumpy) girl. We have a well baby check up tomorrow and I will be interested to know if she has an ear infection or something. She's been acting so crazy the past few days.

Anyway, Livi lou, we love you beyond imagination. You energy and stubbornness is fantastic and we pray that we help you channel it well.  Happy birthday favorite second daughter!
