Sunday morning Matt went to pick up Hannah from her class while I went and picked up Olivia from her class. When Matt got there, Hannah's teacher said, "Hannah is really good at chewing gum, I think that's a sign of advanced intelligence."
Matt said, "Gum? Hannah has gum? Did she get it from you?"
Teacher said, "No, I thought you gave it to her, she had it the whole time."
Yep, definitely a sign of intelligence to eat gum from under the table. My sweet little elf.
In other eating gross stuff news, we were at Menards the other day and Hannah was in the lighting aisle playing in the back of the lowest shelving. I saw her pop something in her mouth and I quickly ran to her and got it out. I don't know what it was but I can only describe it as what looked like a mushy chocolate covered raisin.
I thought we were done with that stage?
Olivia, on the other hand, has avoided putting anything in her mouth, including food. She finally (finally!) put a baby mum mum in her mouth today to eat it. And she has been chewing on a baby spoon lately too. I know that's not very exciting news to you, but I love it when my babies can start putting food in their own mouths.
As a side note, if you are looking for exciting things to read, it probably won't be here. We are boring, I haven't gotten out the camera, it's still snowy and cold and we are just biding our time until spring. And we all have on a nice layer of insulation that we (meaning me) will be trying to shed before spring break. So stay tuned for more riviting stories of the things my girls eat!

If not intelligence (though I think she's got plenty of that) definitely a sign of resourcefulness. She wanted gum and she found some. Way to go, Hannah! :)
We are not past that stage in our house either. Anything that even remotely resembles food is fair game (even if days old and crusted to the floor!). :)
Oh, Abby...I love coming to your blog b/c I know it's always good for a great laugh!
I'll make gum seem not quite so bad...we were at a baseball game when JD was about 18-20 months...and he found a bottle of Mt. Dew from someone else. Except, it wasn't Mt. Dew...it was someone's spit cup!
yep...it resulted in lots of nasty puke!=)
