Guess....

Who.....crawled to the steps and then crawled up them today. I was thinking the other day about teaching her to do it but I thought maybe she was too short (she is super short). Guess not.

What.... the temperature in our house has averaged the last three days. Around 63. Our furnace is not working well so when it's currently 25 degrees outside that makes inside a little chilly. Although right now I would rather snuggle under a blanket than do any housework, I kind of like keeping the house this cold. I'm just seeing dollar $igns the lower the temp goes. Vaccuuming makes me sweaty so I told Matt that when I am cold, he should just tell me to vaccuum. He said, "Yeah, that'll go over really well."

When.....we get to see the sunshine. Soon. Very soon. I can't wait. Although we all know a vacation with kids is less of a "vacation" and more of a "relocation" I will still take a relocation to a more sunny climate as soon as possible.

Why.....poor Olivia has a horrible diaper rash. She is working on tooth number 4. I was never sure when Hannah was teething. Suddenly a tooth would come through, sometimes four molars at once. Not that it didn't hurt her, but I used to think that kids could be fussy and not fussy and it may or may not be related to teething and I thought some parents used it as an excuse. Not with Olivia. The second she gets a horrible diaper rash and spends three straight days attached to my hip and crying when I put her down, chasing me around the house and just in general being grumpy pants, I spot a little tooth coming through. Also, with Hannah, she would work on getting a tooth in for like a day. Maybe two days and her tooth would be in. Poor little Livi takes forever. Her tooth will take a week to come through. That must hurt. Can you imagine going through so many changes the first year of life? Cutting tons of teeth, doubling your weight, growing 5-8 inches, going from milk to food. It's hard work being a baby.

Where......my motivation to clean the house is going. Lower and lower like the temperature in this house. I have a kajillion things to do during naptime but I have a headache and I'm cold and I have a few of my favorite magazines to read.

How.....it feels to try to get my girls to do anything, whether putting on their clothes, shoes, changing diapers, put them in their carseats, etc... Kind of like herding cats. Especially Olivia right now. Dressing her is a wrestling match and she's tenacious. I think I'll borrow a cat and try to dress it and see if I'm right.
