Florida pictures

We left for Siesta Key, Florida on a Friday evening, driving 20 hours and through the night. We got to Florida by noon on Saturday and I had caught some major chest/head cold. We were all exhausted, sore, and Hannah and Liv were developing something in their chests too.
On Saturday we went to the beach for just a short time and then we all went in to get to bed early. Sunday, at my urging, we decided to go to a park instead of the beach. I didn't want to overwhelm the kids with the sun and sand just yet, and I was still feeling really crappy. I wanted to be in the shade and I thought the girls would love the park. They did.
The rest of the week we did the beach and pool. It was awesome.

Miss Hannah hanging out on our balcony.

At the playground, Hannah enjoyed simple things like the holes in the playset floor.

Olivia loved the swings.

Hannah loved the slide and climbing up and down it all by herself. Also, I love the colors in this picture.

Olivia was our water baby this week. She had no fear and even went underwater. She would have crawled straight into the Gulf if I would have let her.

I love this sweet face.

And this sweet face.

I also love this girl in a swimming suit.

We went on a boat ride the girls loved.

Liv took a nap on the boat and woke up very serious.

We saw a sunset and tasted some sand.

We did 10 miles on a bike and both girls fell asleep in their seats. They love bikes.

I love the gulf and this girl.

I love the gulf and this girl too.

A picture that needs to be in a vacation brochure, yes?

We had a great time. We all ended up fairly sick with three of the four of us needing antibiotics (not me, I like to battle it out with my netti pot, sleep and running). But there is no better place to recover than Florida with Matt's parents to help with the childcare.
We can't wait to go back.

Also, I love my camera. I have the Nikon D5000 and Papa has the Nikon D40. All these pictures were taken with one of those. I think they ended up quite good.

GORGEOUS pictures! And gorgeous girls! And I really want to be like you because I"m pretty sure there's no way I could ride a bike with a kid on the back for 10 miles. It makes my back hurt just thinking about it. So glad you got to get away! LOVE that pic of Hannah with the hat by the slide. And the brochure. And maybe all of them. Hope you're feeling better!
