My day started at 7:45. My alarm went off at 6am because I had all intentions of running and I just couldn't drag myself out of bed. Even though I got like 9 hours of sleep. Seriously, my sleep cycles are so messed up. Anyway, forced myself out of bed and went downstairs to get my coffee, my breakfast (banana and Skippy all natural peanut butter which is the BEST!) and start my annual blueberry freezing project. This is just the first 20 pints, I have many more to go.
8:00 Hannah woke up and picked out Trix to eat for breakfast. She likes for me to pick her up and stand her on the counter so she can carefully examine all her choices. I should just throw the Trix out.
8:30 Liv woke up and I gave her Cheerios. She should win a prize for being a Cheerios model.
If that doesn't say "buy Cheerios" I don't know what does.
Hannah dressed herself in two shirts. She thought one shirt was a skirt.
We were at the zoo by 10am. Also, neither Matt nor I had showered so we were looking pretty rough. Good thing though because we got awful sweaty. Here the girls are looking at the pigs.
Mmmmm, bacon.
Look dad! Bacon!
We left the zoo after a free zoo lunch at 12:30 due to a meltdown by a certain 2.5 year old. They were asleep in the car by 12:40.
We put them down for nap and I took the dogs on a nice long walk.
I showered. Then read my Bible.
Then I changed the sheets in our bedroom and admired my newly painted crown molding. Also, dusted the master bedroom and dining room (for my daily chore list, I bought the calendar from http://www.motivatedmoms.com/ and it has forever changed my life, no joke.).
Our bed. I love clean sheets. The nightstand to the left? Mine. The nightstand to the right? Matt's. It's full of his junk, I mean stuff.
The girls woke up promptly at 4pm. Because we are doing VBS tonight and have to be at the church at 5:45, I gave them a bath after nap and we had an early dinner.
My water baby loves her baths.
While I was fixing dinner, Hannah was learning to write (southpaw maybe?).
Olivia was being 1 and emptying out my towel drawer.
And running around like a crazy kid.
That's where the pictures end.
We had VBS from 6-8pm but the girls and I left at around 7:45. The girls went with Nana and Papa to our house to go to bed and I had to go to my softball game. Where we managed to lose in the last inning by 1 (arghhhh, I thought one got less competitive as one got older...not so!). I also got hit pretty hard in the chin and quad with an errant grounder that hit a rock. Unfortunately I don't really bruise so I won't get much sympathy for it.
9:45 got home. Ready for bed. Posting this. Also spoke with my mom on the phone and we are making plans to buy corn and green beans in bulk and blanch/freeze them on Saturday. Can't wait to have delicious corn and beans all winter long!
Go check out what Abby did today!
PS. Does anyone get sick of Abby and I just linking back and forth? Just think of us as a less cool/less DIY but way more fun, adoption-minded Sherrie and Katie.
PPS. Our church is in the process of starting a Lifesong for Orphans fund. Woot woot!

oops...I better get on my Monday list. I don't ever get tired of us talking about each other....
do you just put the blueberries on a sheet and freeze? then eat frozen in the winter? i should do that ...
I am officially never telling you what I do in a day. :) your kids are so freaking cute. Meeting them is on my bucket list. Also-I can't believe you took a nap and started painting within minutes of waking. I need your work ethic.
i like the blueberry idea. i wish i had a big enough freezer to do that. fruit in the winter is so expensive.
