I love junk - chair edition

Hello, my name is Abby and I am addicted to crappy furniture.

Free from a friend. Started to paint it. Changed my mind on the color. Started sanding it off. Gave up.

$50 from Craig's List.

My great grandma's recovered/restored rocking chair. A bit more expensive, but a gift to us from my in-laws.
UPDATED to add this from my mom: The rocking chair is from your great, great grandmother Jackson. She probably rocked her baby girl in it in 1900 when your great grandma Lett was born.

I have a pair of these. $70 from Craig's List. Not recovering either one.

Chair on the left: free from Matt's grandma. Chair on the right: $35 from an antique store in Michigan (was originally $125 but I'm a master bargainer). Not recovering either one.

Free chair from Matt's grandma. I paid $90 to have it recovered and I painted it.

These came in a set of nine chairs. For a total of $10, and two of my friends took two each. So these chairs were $1.50 each. I love them.

Antique store in Van Wert, Ohio for $40. Not recovering or painting. I love it.

There you have it. I love crap. I don't get mad when it gets dirty. I don't feel bad re-selling it later (which I have done numerous times, never for less, and sometimes more, than what I bought it for).

Also, in case you couldn't tell, I wanted you to see my house au naturale, with baby dolls, computers, blankets and other various objects everywhere.

I want.

Like, pretty much all of them. But especially the fourth one down and the yellow one.

I, too, like junk.

Do you still want the 2 person chairs? I failed miserably at getting the chairs from you... If you still want to swap, I can bring it some time this week...while we're at it, we could hang out again.

Forgive my group comment-I'm so far behind...but love that you got to go to Michigan and how fun for your girls to get to play with cousins and aunts and uncles...and i LOVE that yellow chair! I would like you to come shop with me. We need a kitchen table and Craigslist is not being nice to us. IN conclusion, your girls are so so cute. And I love the clinging to your leg pic-and I'm so glad you've had some good family time this summer!

Love you!
