Happy birthday Matt!

Matt turned 33 today. We love him so much and we three girls are so lucky to have him.

We had Nana and Papa over for Matt's birthday dinner he selected, tacos.

Hannah requested that his cake was to be cupcakes with Buzz Lightyear on them.

Hannah really enjoyed celebrating, she thought it was her birthday too.

The cupcakes had plastic rings on each of them with Buzz's face. She put them on her fingers and then got confused.

She's silly.

It's more fun having birthdays when we have kids. Most things are more fun with kids, except grocery shopping and/or any errand I have to run.
Hannah picked out his Buzz Lightyear cupcakes and the girls picked out his Colt's shirt and basketball shorts for presents. And they loved having tacos with Nana and Papa.
It was fun and I think Matt is enjoying each birthday more each year.

Nana and Papa got a new van with a very nice DVD player in it. Papa suggested to Hannah that some day they should sit in the van and watch a movie together. Hannah thought for a second and said, "We have a big tv in our house."
Matt laughed when he heard the story and said, "That's so her mother. Always the practical buzzkill."

Today I asked Hannah to do something and she said "No...........ah. Noah. Noah built the ark."
Hannah's not allowed to say no to me, yet she still figures out ways to say no.

Olivia said, "shoes" today. It was cute. So she says shoes, mama, cat, dada, papa, thank you and good night (although no one else but me would understand the last two).
She also wants to do everything Hannah does and now that Hannah gets to stay up later at night and doesn't go down for naps when Olivia goes down, Olivia throws a fit. She knows that Hannah's not going to bed and she gets so upset that she has to! She also gets so upset they have to sleep in different rooms. When Hannah starts going into her room, Olivia runs as fast as she can after her and she has a huge tantrum when I pick her up to take her to her room. It cracks me up! It makes me feel like maybe they could share a room soon.
She is almost 18 months and will typically wear 12 month clothes. She has really fat feet so she needs a size 5 for width but they are too long. She is in a size 4 diaper (but it's too big).
She has a hilarious personality. She loves to give us hugs and kisses and she spends most of her time running (literally) around the house. Running into things like walls and chairs and falling down laughing. She will play independently forever (fantastic!). She sleeps around 13 hours at night and 3 hours for nap. She is finally cutting her one year molars and it doesn't seem to bother her at all.
She loves Goodnight Gorilla and Brown Bear Brown Bear. She loves brushing her teeth, pushing her baby dolls in a stroller. Today she put her purse on and waved bye to me and tried to leave out the garage door.
She is at such a great age. I am really appreciating her age and persoality. I don't really remember Hannah at this age and I think it's because I had a newborn and all newborn related memories are foggy to me.

I have two pretty great kids. At least we think so.
