Drinking our dinner

We've kind of started a new Sunday night dinner tradition involving smoothies and eating on the floor. It took a couple weeks for the girls to get used to smoothies, they both have textures issues.
Tonights smoothie involved frozen bananas, oats, peanut butter and milk. It tastes like ice cream and is full of carbs. It's pretty awesome.

We drink a lot of smoothies at our house too...my moses doesn't always eat real well and this is a great way to get good stuff in him...Would you mind sharing teh recipe? This one sounds yummy...we mostly do yougurt (I make) fruit, raw honey, and raw milk...this would be a nice change. THanks

My comment above...I wasn't signed in under my blog which is
www.hiswillandgrace.blogspot.com, but how do you freeze the bannana's? Do you just take them out of the peel and throw them in a bag?
Thanks

Since J has major GI issues, allergic to diary....had to go vegan yada yada yada....bought top of the line blender and we do A LOT of smoothies. So glad to see you joining. Because of being vegan most of the time, and Gluten Free, I am counting calories and do a lot of adding "stuff". I always throw in a bit of kale or spinach -- always. I don't even know if he knows. Another of our favorites: oranges and pineapple with soy. We use a lot of coconut water to sweeten, since we can't use yogurt or milk. Carrie, I freeze bananas all the time. wrap them in cling wrap, then put them in Gallon zip lock. Do that with fruit when it is on sale, too.
