Sharing a room - Update

Monday morning, the girls woke up at 7:45am. I was shocked. I thought for sure they would wake up super early and be ready to play after the new fun change of sharing a room.
I took them downstairs and made pancakes. While I was doing that, Matt asked Hannah if they had any girl talk in their room together. Hannah said, "Yep."
Matt said, "What did you talk about?"
Hannah said with confidence, "Lipstick."
Monday night, night two of sharing a room, Olivia was in their room and I called her into her (old) room where all the diapers and her clothes are (I haven't made that move yet, that may be a while). She freaked out.
I called her several times and each time her cries and screams got louder and more dramatic. I even heard her throw herself on the floor.
We had a moment of discipline for blatant disobedience and then we tried again.
I called her into the room and here I see her, coming around the corner of their room, head hung low, sobbing.
I hadn't yet figured out what was really going on. So I was changing her diaper and putting her into her pjs.
Hannah walked up and said, while patting her head, "Don't worry, Olivia, you're my best friend."
So stinkin' sweet.
Anyway, she immediately stopped crying when I put her in her bed in their room.
Oh. She thought I was going to make her sleep in her crib.
That's how much they love sharing a room.
They went to bed at 8:15pm and I heard not a peep the entire night. Until.....the thunderstorm at 5am. Those usually scare the pants off Hannah. She started to cry (I slept through all this, Matt told me later) and Matt went in and said, "Hannah, it's ok babe, you have Livi in here now." She went right back to sleep and....not a peep until they woke up this morning.
I hope this love of sharing lasts a really long time. I love it.

My girls always shared a room (till we moved to FL). So glad to see your girls loving it too. When Anna went off to Kindergarten, Abby had a hard time napping and was so sad and lonely. You have the sweetest girls....snif sniff, time just flies. Enjoy your babies. :)

so so sweet...mine love love sharing, but do wake up earlier. i'm probably going to put all 3 together in the next year so maybe nobody will sleep ever...but they will have good memories. (agree about nap time though-i still split them up for that!)
