Young's Jersey Dairy holds a special place in my heart, I grew up going there all the time. Almost every Sunday after or before church or youth group and sometimes probably both. We went there after ball games with the team, we went there as a special treat with the family. I don't even know how many times I went there on a date.
It's gotten bigger over the years and that really makes me happy. There are more activities, more animals to feed, more food. The ice cream is fantastic (it's homemade at the farm). I highly suggest if you are ever in the area of Yellow Springs, Ohio, go there.
A couple weekends ago we went to Ohio to celebrate my younger brother Wade graduating from UD with his DPT (so for the record, my older brother is a doctor, my younger brother has his doctorate in physical therapy and I'm.....a mom. I feel like the dumbest one. But I don't mind:)).
We needed to treat the girls to Young's Dairy, and I needed my Double Buckeye Sundae.
One fun memory of this trip was as we were walking in, Hannah spotted some guy eating vanilla ice cream with strawberries on top. She immediately knew that's what she wanted. I gave her a couple other options but she was adament, she was going to have vanilla ice cream with strawberries.
Something about a little girl who knows what she wants and is decisive about it is so cute to me (oh, and maybe it sounds just like her mother?).
She gobbled up that vanilla ice cream with strawberries on it like nobody's business.
I gobbled up my Buckeye Sundae like nobody's business too (I shared with Liv who surprisingly doesn't have much of a sweet tooth).
Then we waited in the hot sun for a $2 two minute train ride. Over-rated but worth it for the youngsters.
It was such a fun memory to take my girls to a place that I hold so dear.

How fun! I spent a lot of time there when I was in college at Cedarville. :) We always had fun hanging out in Yellow Springs at the little shops too. I didn't realize you grew up there.
Also, I think there might be a picture of me wearing a Young's shirt on the wall in there somewhere. Yes, I'm a nerd.
