I don't think November could get much cuter

Matching sweater vests Nana made (knit? crochet?)
They wore them to BSF on the 7th and their teachers thought it was the cutest thing.

Hannah wanted to take my picture.

On the 14th we had a Christmas photo shoot with our adoption agency.

I put them in coordinating outfits, but the social workers ended up bringing different clothes. I saw the cards today they are sending out. They are so cute!

The girls put together a princess puzzle. Did you know that Aurora and Briar Rose are the same princess? I just discovered this today. I am a bad girl mom.

We spent Thanksgiving in Ohio (no pictures) but we went to Ikea on Black Friday and bought a new white sectional. Call me crazy. But it's machine washable as opposed to dry clean only, which is what all the other slipcover options are.

The girls have had a great time with the boxes the couches came in. Speaking of boxes, just be glad I lived to tell you about my sectional. Driving up I75 with those boxes was a terrifying experience and I am not lying when I say mom and I could have been killed.

Seriously, who are these big girls? They are so beautiful!!

My happy girl #2.

My happy girl #1.

Today I have two very sick girls. They both woke up around 7 crying and coughing a pretty bad, hacking cough. We had a meeting to go to so I medicated them and fed them pancakes and orange juice. They performed excellently at the meeting and by the time we got home at 9:45 they were wiped out. We laid down on the couch, the three of us and we all fell asleep around 10 until noon! And for the record, I'm not sick, I just like sleep:) (and of course, I did get up at 5 so any excuse to take a nap is valid for me!). I made them lunch, which they didn't eat. Nana brought the antibiotics and I gave them cool whip to coat their stomachs (a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, right?). They laid right back down on this mattress in the living room and they are back asleep.
Sick sick girls. They haven't eaten much of anything all day, they even rejected fruit snacks!

This is what I got when I asked them to smile.

I hate having sick girls. But really, isn't it kind of sweet when the kids are sick? I got to nap with them for two hours (I can't remember the last time Hannah fell alseep on my chest), I keep them happy with apple juice and medicine. They get to watch tv (the best part for them!). Really, I have a quiet, clean house and a reason to stay inside. Otherwise we had a very full day planned, but I cherish the days my girls get to rest and recover in our house snuggled and cared for by mama. So sweet.
