I got a new camera lens (and other stuff)
I still need a tutorial to use it but I really like it. These pictures are unedited and I still need to work on figuring our yellowish lighting in our house. But I am very excited.
So I wouldn't say I'm "nesting" persay, but I would say the to do list for my house is ridiculously long and while the 9 weeks I have left seems like an eternity, I know it'll fly by.
The toy room is freaking me out and needs organized in a bad way, I have to finish painting the entry way (it's been edged for weeks, I just need to roll it), I need to finish painting some stuff for the baby's room (oh, and she needs a name), I need to finish Matt's t-shirt quilt, I need to haul some furniture to a friend's house to get painted (I sanded it yesterday morning at 5am, have I mentioned I can't sleep?), I need to organize my piles of girls' clothes (that's neverending), I need to start the bulk/feezer cooking so I won't have to do much when the baby comes, and on top of that I have to accomplish my day to day tasks of parenting/cleaning/fun stuff. And I'm tired.
Oh, and I WILL have a garden this year. I've decided to make it easy on myself and just do tomatoes, peppers, onions and zuchinni. I told Matt all I wanted for Mother's Day was his help getting everything planted.
My plan is to can salsa at the end of the summer. In August. When I have a newborn. Yep, call me crazy.
I also just received my free entry to a local race called Fort4Fitness (if you click on this link and then on the left click on Fall Festival and then 4 mile Run/Walk, it'll take you to my picture:)). It's Sept 28, 2013 and I got a free entry because I was the female winner for the 4 mile race in 2012. That was three weeks before I got pregnant. I might have been in the best shape of my life. Now...... not so much, ha. All that to say, yes, I am signing up for it, no I will not be attempting to defend my title. I am going to run it, and possibly attempt a decent time, but trying to run a race with about 3-4 weeks training after not running for 6 months might be difficult, yes? I had to quit running back in January. First of all, it was a miserable winter. Secondly, every time I tried to run, both of my hips hurt very badly. Thirdly, it was miserable to feel like I was going to pee my pants the whole time. Fourthly, my body decided that pregnancy meant it was going to pack on as many pounds as possible. That means I started feeling like an elephant while running (not fun). I have been getting good cardio on the treadmill and sticking with my weights so I don't think it'll be that bad, but I am also prepared to received a shock when I run for the first time and can't eek out anything lower than a 9 min mile.
Lastly, we are praying this baby girl is healthy and ready to come out at 36-37 weeks. And that she has brown eyes. I am so ready to get back to normal.
