Happy Birthday Olivia!

Olivia turned three on Monday and I must say, I hit a home run with the presents. Giving gifts is not one of my strengths, especially to my children. You know how you buy something for your kids and you think, "They are going to love this and play with it all the time." And their response is all, "Meh." Not this time!
First of all, Olivia has been talking about getting carseat like Hannah's for months. Liv was tired of her 5 point harness and wanted a booster like her big sister. So we told her once the new baby comes she could get a new carseat. We were trying to push it off as long as possible because the boosters are for kids 30+ lbs and Liv is only at 24. But she wore us down. We decided to buy her a carseat for her birthday (hey, it's what she wanted!).
I also knew that Olivia would about die of joy if we bought her a doll house. I had been thinking about getting the girls a nice, quality, big, wooden one since Christmas, and then once we found out we would be having girl #3, we figured it would get lots of use. So while we made it clear Olivia has to share it with her sisters, we knew Olivia would get the most joy out of it. She can sit forever playing with her dolls. Hannah doesn't really enjoy that kind of play, but I knew she would get a kick out of it too at times.

Showing three fingers can be kind of tough. We are still working on it.

So adorable!

We ate dinner at a Japanese steakhouse and Liv couldn't get enough of the sherbet for dessert. She's a lefty btw.

New carseat!!!
Three funny stories about her carseat. We asked her what her favorite birthday presents was, she said her carseat. When I was taking out the old seat the next morning, she was standing in the garage chanting, "Take that carseat out! Take that carseat out!" Lastly, we went to the post office and Hannah asked if she could take her baby doll inside. I said yes. Olivia asked if she could take her carseat inside.

Be still my heart this picture about kills me I can't even stand how freakishly adorable and edible they are.

We went to the zoo for her birthday, after Matt woke her up at 6:30am to go get donuts for daddy/daughter date. She was exhausted and fell asleep on the way home. I had to carry her into Kroger's to buy a cake and hold her while they decorated it. So she was so cute when she saw her cake for the first time because it was pink and puple like she had been talking about for months.

Playing with the dollhouse. She LOVES it.

Olivia, you are so precious to us and a joy to parent. We are so blessed. Happy birthday munchkin.
