Summer of 2012 will go down in history as the most time our family has ever spent time together. Especially since our family of four is only on our 3rd summer:)
But seriously, I am averaging working about .5 to 1.5 days a week and Matt is doing some drivers ed and golf coaching. So other than a few hours we spend at work and the girls spend at the farm, we are together.
It's awesome.
Today we road our bikes to the park. Played at the park. Ran some errands. Ate some shaved ice. Napped. Ate homemade pizza (more about that later). Then movie night (more about that later too).
We do something similar to that just about every day. Matt and I were thinking about quitting our jobs and applying for welfare so we can all stay home together and hang out.
We made a bucket list for our summer and we've accomplished so much of it. Fun things like ride our bikes to the little house that sells colorful ice cream (Hannah's request to ride our bikes to get shaved ice). We are going to see a matinee on Saturday afternoon (and let the girls skip nap, gasp!) to check off something else from our bucket list.
It's been fun.
Hannah is loving this scarf on her head. Her babysitters are Amish so she just wants to be like them. I think she makes a beautiful Amish girl.
Come on, can you get any cuter?
Of course you can. Nice work. Man, I think that scarf is cute.
I love her smile. She is such a happy kid. She's started this new laugh lately and it kills us.
To sum things up, we are loving this summer. We are truly embracing every moment we have together as a family of four. Our hearts are full.

I want a sourdough starter and I can't get over how cute your girls are. Nice job on their hair...maybe we will end up with a girl and you can do her hair too.
I can't believe you just said you wanted to go welfare! LOL! hilarious! I'm so glad yal are having so much fun together! :) Pizza looks sooo good. I can't have that right now :( The scarf looks really cute on her and beads? Have fun, My mom didn't know how to do beads, so she put rubber bands or just berets at the ends...
that is so great yall are getting to spend so much time together. it really is priceless!! enjoy the summer!
The headscarf on Hannah is adorable. And little miss Olivia has the cutest smile ever!
As far as the sourdough - congrats on creative cooking! I will have start cooking again and trying the recipes!
Gotta love educator's schedules! Even as an administrator, Jonathan's summer is so much more laid back... it's great. (Although he works like mad the other 10 months!) We have done a ton this summer too!! We always talk about how we'd love it if neither of us had to work, but instead just hang out with kids all day and chill! So fun! :)Never considered welfare... ;)
